Tyr Community

Tyr is an 8v8 that currently lets you stack three. That number shapes the community. You are not bringing a full party into a lobby like a hero shooter. You are bringing a small fireteam into a pug. This page is how to do that without wasting lives. Official links sit on the links hub. Match rules sit on how to play.

Discord

The public invite is discord.gg/tyr. During playtests this was also how people got into the game (ask for an invite, or share codes you already had). Early Access is a Steam install, but Discord remains the LFG board, the competitive-role bot for cups, and the place Stoke actually answers questions. Be specific when you LFG: map preference if you are in customs, class you drive, and whether you understand spotting. “Any” usually means a third heavy.

Tyr custom games and replay system

Squads in client

Create a Squad, share the join code. You land in the same match on the same team. Cap three. Stoke has said they want at least four later. Until that patch, a four-friend group should run a custom or sit one. There is no split-screen couch mode.

Custom games

Dev updates from the playtest year showed custom games with a shareable code, host map select, and team swapping — the same shape you want for tryouts and community cups. The video on this page is that explainer, including the replay beta. Use customs to practice a Ravine hill with two friends before you take it into Ranked.

Replays

1. Settings → Game → enable Replays.
2. Files save to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Tyr\Saved\Demos.
3. Watch from the Battles tab.
4. Only the ten most recent matches stay. Copy a file out to archive a cup game.

Watch your gray clips. Watch the moment you fired unsilenced in a bush. Watch the Energy bar that never left 33. Then read armor or Energy instead of blaming the tier list.

Tournaments

Stoke has already run prize-pool events during playtests (example: $2,500 on May 16, 2026, with $1,300 / $700 / $250 splits). Competitive roles live on Discord. This wiki will not invent a circuit. If a cup is real, it will be on Steam news or Discord first, then mentioned on updates.

Creator program and fan sites

Stoke opened a creator program during playtests. Tyr HQ and similar fan tools are useful for armor viewers. They are not LFG. They are not this wiki. Do not paste account credentials into a “free Gold” form. The only announced Gold purchase at launch is the Founder’s Pack.

Etiquette that actually wins games

• Say your class in voice or chat. Three Mauls and no Fuse is a choice.
• Do not shot-call a gray face. If it is gray, wait. Armor.
• If you die, spectate or leave. There is no penalty. Do not backseat a living Tempest into a ditch.
• Clip your ramps and Snitches, not your arguments.

If you are new, post that you are new. The people who still remember invite-only weekends will usually take a third. Send them how to play instead of a twenty-minute vod. The stack you want is one scout, one flex, one gray wall — lights, mediums, heavies — not three streamer mains fighting over Scorch mid.
