Tyr Light Tanks
Highest camo, smallest armor, and the vision the other fifteen hulls cannot buy.
Lights are why Tyr is not a brawl sim. The six hulls — Fuse, Ikarus, Kestrel, Phantom, Seeker, Alecto — hold the top of the camo table from 45% down to 32%. Their spotting range is the same 400 m as Atlas. Their solid circle is simply smaller, so they can sit in a bush, light a 0% camo heavy, and never appear on the enemy HUD. If you drive these like a medium, you will donate a life in ninety seconds. Read spotting first.
Fuse (45%)
Stealth floor of the roster. Fuse exists to be the last tank the enemy notices. Turret traverse can keep up with the hull, which is rare (shared with Alecto, Tempest, Atlas). That means you can actually track a target while peeking. Do not spend that gift on a frontal slugfest. Silenced shells keep the 50% bush bonus. Energy nodes that pay for spotting are the build you want.
Ikarus (42%) and Kestrel (39%)
Clip scouts. Ikarus loads four shells, Kestrel three. Burst is real; camo bloom after an unsilenced dump is also real. Fire the clip only when the target is tracked or already lit by someone else, then relocate. Energy Shells are halved on clip tanks, so do not expect the full +7 per round. See Energy.
Phantom (37%)
Sits between the clip birds and Seeker. Play Phantom as a relocation scout: light, move, light again. If the name tempts you into melee, remember you still have light armor. Green paint on you is a death sentence.
Seeker (34%) — Alpha Program
Seeker is the small, fast tracker added in the late-July playtest patch. Ability: Snitch, a drone that flies to the nearest unspotted enemy and pings a marker your whole team can see. If nothing is in range it loiters. The 3D model was rough on purpose. Alpha means the gun, camo, and cost will move. Do not write a forever tier list around today’s Snitch. Do take Seeker when your squad has zero vision tools.
Alecto (32%)
The “loud” light, which is still stealthier than every medium except the bush specialists. Alecto’s turret can keep pace with hull rotation, so it duels better than Kestrel if you get caught. That is a fallback, not a plan. Alecto still loses to a heavy that looks at it.
How lights win matches
A light that dies with 2,000 damage and zero spots played the wrong game. A light that dies with 200 damage, four unique spots, and a stolen cap played the right one. Capture is 1% per second; a living Fuse in the ring late is overtime insurance. Match rules: how to play. Map picks: maps — Divide and bushy Fields are your exams, Ravine’s ditch is a trap if a heavy looks down.
Binds and habits
Hover lights get Q/E and Space drift. Use them to peek a bush without turning the hull into a billboard. Stop for depression. Never fat-finger the ability at spawn unless Snitch has a target. Controls.
When you outgrow scouting, look at mediums for clip damage with actual plates, or stay here and become the reason heavies get farmed. The light tier list is the rank page; this page is the job description. Cross-check heavies so you know who cannot see you back.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for new Tyr pilots and returning playtesters.
Which Tyr light has the best camo?
Fuse at 45%, then Ikarus 42% and Kestrel 39%. Atlas on the other end is 0%.
What does Seeker's Snitch do?
It hunts the nearest unspotted tank and pings a marker for you and your allies. Alpha Program — expect changes.
Should lights take Energy shells?
Clip lights get a halved bonus. Spotting nodes and assists often beat tertiary shells. See Energy.
Where do I rank these hulls?
On the light tier list. This page stays on roles and camo, not patch ranks.
