Tyr Updates Hub
Launch window, Founder's Pack, clans, ping wheel, and the patches that still matter.
Tyr enters Early Access on September 2, 2026 as a free-to-play Steam 8v8 tank shooter from Stoke Games. This hub is the news desk. Deep launch context: Early Access guide. Money and cosmetics: Founder’s Pack. Digest of Ranger, ping wheel, Fortis, and clans: patch notes and clans. Mechanical pages (spotting, tier list) change when a patch actually moves a number.
What “Early Access” means here
Stoke’s Steam FAQ: they want player feedback on core mechanics, balance, and content; they expect about twelve months in Early Access before a full launch, with more tanks, more maps, and more systems. The current branch is described as stable and playable with more than twelve unlockable tanks and five maps. Price stays free-to-play. Gameplay content remains unlockable without paying. A Founder’s Pack is the optional paid cosmetic bundle at launch.
Do not treat this wiki as a live countdown if your timezone still sits before the Steam unlock. The date is September 2, 2026. The store page is the clock.
Playtest carryover
During the long playtests Stoke said tanks, cosmetics, and progression would carry into Early Access with no planned account wipe. If you played the extended tests, check the garage before you spend SLVR again. Vehicle Mastery (titles past tank level 20) and Alpha Program hulls like Seeker were already in the late-July patch.
Patch themes that still matter
- Seeker + Snitch — Alpha scout drone. Unfinished model on purpose.
- Vehicle Mastery — prestige titles after 20, not a new gun.
- Tank Styles — Arbalest Zero, Maul Reentry, Atlas Kingmaker, Kestrel Venom, and earlier style drops. Cosmetic.
- Maps returning from art pass — Divide (desert) rejoined Ravine, Scorch, Wind Valley, Fields.
- HUD overhaul — minimap circles and garage-with-a-view.
- Custom games + replay beta — share codes, ten-demo cap.
- Tournaments — Stoke ran cash cups (example: $2,500 on May 16, 2026 during playtests). Community comps will continue; see community.
How we treat balance rumors
If it is not on Steam news, the Tyr YouTube channel, or Discord, it is a rumor. This wiki will not invent a sixth map name or a nineteenth tank. When Stoke ships one, it lands here first as a sentence, then on maps or the roster.
Reverse roadmap
The Steam page includes a reverse roadmap image in the store copy. Treat it as directional, not a contract. Early Access exists specifically so that list can move. If a feature slips, that is the point of the branch.
Reading order after a patch
- This hub (did anything land?).
- Early Access if the notes mention queues, wipes, or Founder’s timing.
- Energy or spotting if a convert or camo number moved.
- Tier list last, because ranks are opinions.
