Tyr Fuse
Highest camo in the roster, sticky mines, and the turret that tracks while you peek — the light that everyone walks into.
Fuse is the ceiling of the light class. At 45% camo it sits above every other hull in the game — lights, mediums, heavies, none of them disappear the way Fuse does. What you do with that invisibility defines whether you are a scout or a donor. This page is the guide to being the former. Parent roster: light tanks hub. Rankings: light tier list. Energy math: energy. Armor: armor.
Why 45% camo matters
Most tanks have a solid circle that blooms when they shoot unsilenced in the open. Fuse’s circle is small enough that even after shooting, the bloom might not trigger a spot if the enemy is at range. Combined with the 50% bush camo bonus, a silenced Fuse in a good bush on Divide is functionally invisible at 200 meters. You exploit that window to plant mines, spot targets, and rotate without being the first ping on the enemy’s screen.
The sticky mine ability
Fuse’s ability drops mines that physically stick to enemy hulls. When the enemy drives over terrain or stops moving, the mines detonate. This is not an area denial tool — it is a punishment tool. A heavy that pushes through a chokepoint without watching for Proxy mines takes engine damage and loses mobility. A light that drives through a canyon corridor gives Fuse the tell it needs to land a follow-up shot.
The August 2026 patch improved the Glom missile component: the slow component now stacks, which makes Fuse more punishing against mobile targets. The mine stick chance was also reworked in that patch. Check patch notes for the full Glom changes before locking in a build.
Turret and hull tracking
Fuse is one of four hulls whose turret can match hull rotation speed. The others are Alecto, Tempest, and Atlas. This means you can strafe toward a target and keep the gun on them without stopping to aim — a genuine duel advantage over every other light that has to choose between moving and tracking. Use it. The moment you need to reposition, the turret keeps painting while the hull turns.
How to play Fuse
Fuse is not a duelist. You are the invisible trap that punishes positioning mistakes. Your job is to be in the lane the enemy thinks is empty, drop mines on a push, and fire from an angle they did not know existed. If you are in a fair fight as Fuse, you already lost the positioning battle.
Silenced shells are non-negotiable. The bush bonus only applies if the shot is suppressed. An unsilenced Fuse in a bush is a waste of the hull’s best feature. Energy shells in the tertiary slot pay for spotting — nodes that convert damage into Energy mean you are funding your team while being the eyes.
Common mistakes
The first mistake is shooting unsilenced in the open. You bloomed 45% camo for a shot that a heavy will bounce off front armor anyway. The second mistake is treating Fuse like a combat hull. You are not. You are the trap that makes the enemy think twice about pushing a lane. If you want to fight frontally, play Vanguard or Alecto.
The third mistake is not using the turret tracking in duels. Fuse can track mid-strafe. Other lights cannot. That is the whole reason the hull tracking exists — use it to fire from angles where a Kestrel would have to expose its hull.
Alpha Program note
Fuse is an Alpha Program hull. The August patch already moved components. Expect further changes to the mine behavior, camo rating, or cost before full release. Do not write a tier list around today’s numbers. Write the light tier list around the role — Fuse will always be the invisible trap, even if the exact camo percentage moves.
Builds and SLVR priority
Buy the mine ability upgrade first, then the Energy nodes that pay for spotting. Silenced shells are the base round. The Glom missile component is the special tool — it stacks slows now, which means mobile targets like Seeker and Ikarus feel the bite longer. See builds for the full loadout. Compare with Kestrel if you want a clip instead of mines, or with Vanguard if you want missiles instead of stealth.
Maps: Divide and Fields are your natural habitat. Ravine works if you control the ditch approach. Scorch is hostile to Fuse unless you have a ridge to disappear behind. Maps.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for new Tyr pilots and returning playtesters.
What is Fuse's role in Tyr?
Invisible trap and scout. Highest camo in the game (45%), sticky mines that punish pushes, and the turret tracking to duel other lights from angles they cannot match.
Does Fuse's camo make it invincible?
No. Shooting unsilenced in the open blooms the circle. Silenced shots in bushes keep the bonus. You are invisible before the shot, not after.
What changed in the August 2026 patch?
The Glom missile component got improved — slow stacks now, mine stick chance was reworked. Check patch notes for full details.
Why does turret tracking matter on Fuse?
Fuse is one of four hulls (with Alecto, Tempest, Atlas) whose turret can match hull rotation. You can strafe and track simultaneously — other lights must stop to aim.
Is Fuse an Alpha Program tank?
Yes. Expect changes to camo, ability behavior, and cost before full release. Build around the role, not today's numbers.
